Operational note – Yell Sound ferries
Ferries on Yell Sound are currently operating at a reduced capacity due to a fault on the MV Dagalien which is currently berthed at Ulsta Ferry Terminal.
Council engineers are currently working to identify the cause of an electrical fault with the vessel’s thruster control system, and will then seek advice from the manufacturer.
MV Fivla and MV Daggri continue to operate Yell Sound ferry services to the published timetable, although bookings are currently suspended.
Shetland Islands Council would like to apologise to passengers affected by this reduced capacity.
Update - Monday 2nd September 2019, 9am
Repairs have been completed on the MV Dagalien and Yell Sound ferry services are now running to timetable. Ferry bookings are bookable as normal.
