Viking Bus Station
Temporary Freight Arrangements (from June 2014)
Whilst the refurbishment of the former Viking Bus Station premises takes place under new ownership, temporary arrangements have been made to allow the public and businesses to continue to drop off freight, such as parcels or packages, for onward transport by bus.
Shetland Islands Council and the new owners of the premises, Mr & Mrs Ho, have worked together to agree these interim arrangements to ensure that this valuable service for Shetland communities will continue with the minimum of disruption.
The refurbishment of the ground floor of the Viking Bus Station is expected to begin in September 2014 and is scheduled to last for around three months, after which new freight arrangements will be made.
