Wedding Drinks Reception
Depending on your numbers, we can arrange for a drinks reception to be held in either the Chamber or Main Hall.
You can take in your own alcohol to serve at the reception and ask friends / family to serve the drinks. The other option is to hire someone in to run the bar for you. We can advise on this.
There is no fixed bar in the Town Hall and it is not a licensed premises. However you can apply for an Occasional Licence for selling alcohol from the Licensing Board. If you need assistance with this process you can contact the Licensing Standards Officer at Environmental Health. If you are having a free bar there is no need for a licence.
Glasses also need to be hired and we can advise who to contact for this.
Wedding Meal
Tables can be set up a number of different ways depending on your numbers. The maximum number of people we can accommodate seated in the main hall for a meal is 180 and for the Chamber it depends on set up but numbers are much smaller.
Once you have booked your caterer, they will have access to our full size catering kitchen (they are welcome to come along to view the kitchen before an event to see what we have)
We provide crockery for you to use to set up your tables as you wish - preparation time will be available to you too.

Wedding Dance
The maximum we can accomodate for a dance is 220 people.
A stage can be set up for your band.

** Please note that a clean up charge is generally only charged after a dance where there has also been a bar - although we will advise on each booking.
