Bulky uplift schedule
The isles are divided up into four areas with bulky uplift collections operating on a four week schedule.
The 2024 schedule for all areas is listed below, please note the dates listed may not be when your items are collected, we collect bulky waste on a Thursday. Bulky waste uplifts can be booked and paid on the Council's website
On the corresponding week, we will collect all the bulky uplift requests that have been booked and paid for in that area, your items need to be placed out for collection on the appropriate day. We collect bulky waste on a Thursday, if we need to change this day we will advise you of this.
Households in Lerwick or Bressay will be collected weekly, Households in Fetlar need to contact us to arrange a collection date
Only three electrical appiances can be collected per address
There will no bulky uplifts collections over the Christmas and New Year period.
