Shetland Islands Council provides, operates and manages most public toilets in Shetland.

Please treat our toilet attendants and cleaners with respect, verbal abuse will not be tolerated.   

Most public toilets are left open at all times apart from the Harbour House toilets which are open daily from 8am - 9pm and the Knab toilets which are open daily from 8am – 8pm.

The use of the public toilet facilities is free at all sites, with the exception of the shower facilities at the Lerwick Harbour House Public Toilets.
