Partners in Shetland have been working together with Hub North Scotland, Scottish Futures Trust and People Powered Results (Nesta) to develop plans to improve outcomes for communities through a place-based approach.
Work continued to deliver the Promote Shetland contract and this included supporting the council and partners on the objective to increase the number of working age people relocating to Shetland to work.
The framework for the council’s new Local Housing Strategy 2022-27 was agreed in March 2022 and the full strategy developed over several months before being approved at a meeting of the council’s Development Committee in September 2022 and then submitted to Scottish Government for assessment.
