Welcome to the 44th Edition of Shetland in Statistics
First published in 1972, as a guide to record facts and figures about Shetland, the publication has grown and changed over the years, reflecting changes in the islands. There is now a collection of Shetland statistics over many decades.
Whilst every care is taken in the production of this publication, Shetland Islands Council cannot accept responsibility for any errors or omissions therein. Anyone wishing to use these statistics for anything but general interest should refer to the source data, quoted throughout the pdf document.
