The Educational Pyschology Service works in partnership with Education Outreach Services and others to promote inclusion and improve outcomes for children and young people across Shetland.
We provide advice and support to children, families, schools and other agencies on all aspects of additional support needs, child development and learning. The service is available to children and young people from birth to 24 years and their families/carers and is free of charge.
We consult with parents, carers, schools and agencies on all aspects of child development, learning, behaviour and education support and provision.
We have a role in staff development and training across schools and partner agencies. The service also has a role in policy and planning within the Authority to support all children and young people to achieve their potential.
