Summer Reading Challenge 2024
This year's Summer Reading Challenge was Marvellous Makers! The free holiday activity for children promoted reading for fun, aiming to improve skills and confidence. Open to all children aged 5-11, the Challenge ran throughout the summer holidays. We also had a mini-challenge for pre-school bairns.
This year’s theme focused on creativity, with activities from dance to drawing, junk modelling to music, and participants and families enjoyed Lego modelling and various creative stations set up in our activity room throughout the holidays.
There was a medal ceremony at 10.30 am on Saturday 10 August followed by a photo session at 11.00 am.
If you completed the Summer Reading Challenge but haven't picked up your certificate and medal yet, you can collect them from the library desk.
Well done to everyone who took part!
