Winter Opening Times
(October 2024 - March 2025)
Monday to Friday: 8am - 6pm
Saturday: 8am - 4pm
Sunday: 10am - 4pm
PLEASE NOTE: Access to the site will close 15 minutes before the times listed above. No vehicle entering the site in this time will be allowed to dump rubbish.

The Household Waste Recycling Centre is for household waste only. Any commercial or industrial waste must go over the weighbridge.
Please treat our staff members with courtesy. Verbal abuse will not be tolerated.
Waste Management staff are available to advise visitors and ensure the site is kept clean and tidy while maintaining the health and safety of site users. Staff are not able to unload waste on behalf of customers. Please ensure you are able to unload any waste yourself when visiting the site.
The site is closed on:
- Christmas Day
- Boxing Day
- New Years Day
- 2nd January
- Wednesday after Lerwick Up Helly Aa
Opening times between Christmas and New Year may also be reduced, any changes will be advertised.
