Help to live at home

Supported Living and Outreach

The Supported Living and Outreach service is based in Lerwick and the service enables adults with learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorder and complex needs to live as independently as possible within their community.

The focus is on inclusion and relationships that enable meaningful connections to family, friends and the wider community; and to promote independent living.

Supported Living and Outreach provides Housing Support and Care at Home services for eligible adults over the age of 18 years living in a supported tenancy or their own home. An up to date Understanding You is required with any referral for support.

The team work together with the individual to enable a life of choices, opportunities and participation, and provide individualised support, skills building and whole life learning.
