Supported Living and Outreach
The Supported Living and Outreach service is based in Lerwick and the service enables adults with learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorder and complex needs to live as independently as possible within their community.
The focus is on inclusion and relationships that enable meaningful connections to family, friends and the wider community; and to promote independent living.
This service supports individuals with physical and learning disabilities and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder, including Cerebral Palsy, sensory impairments and Epilepsy.
The team provide support (including outreach support) to adults living in their in a variety of housing situations, including their own home or a supported tenancy.
The team work together with the individual to enable a life of choices, opportunities and participation, and provide individualised support, skills building and whole life learning.
