We will use technology to support modern, accessible customer interactions, to be a catalyst for cross-Council service improvement and support flexible working practices.
The new ICT and Digital Strategy was agreed in December 2023 and focuses on areas within the Council that need to be developed to improve our use of ICT technologies whilst also looking to key future technologies that have just arrived or are currently emerging. Children’s Services have also introduced paperless payments for parents in our schools - Paperless ordering system for school meals – Shetland Islands Council
