Learn from others’ experiences and policy research
As part of the Council’s Emergency Planning arrangements, daily briefings were produced for the Tactical Team, with services distilling information from various sources to assist the Council’s strategic decision making. This helped services to share experiences and also good practice from elsewhere. A weekly briefing was produced for senior management and Members between August 2020 and January 2021 as a way of efficiently assessing and making available external information. CMT’s Learning Board considered national data and reports on COVID impact as well as local data.
