About Wastview and its location

Wastview Care Centre was opened in 1994 in the picturesque village of Walls on the west side of Shetland. It has fabulous views out large panoramic windows to the island of Vaila and beyond taking in the hustle and bustle of the voe, marina and piers.  Sailing boats can often be seen during the summer months practicing weekly for the local Regatta’s.

Wastview benefits from a safe and secure decking area which is accessed from inside the building and is enjoyed in fine weather, along with two accessible Poly Crubs which are used to grow fruit and vegetables. Wastview also operates a 3 day a week Daycare service where clients are supported to attend from their homes as well as the residential unit.
