About Isleshavn and its location

Isleshavn Care Centre was opened in 1984 and was the first Care Centre built within Shetland. It is located in Mid Yell in the North Isles of Shetland. The care home is in the centre of the village and is right by the shore allowing some fantastic views of the water. Isleshavn overlooks the Mid Yell Pier and has a small beach just outside its boundary wall.  Isleshavn benefits from a safe and secure decking area and internal courtyard garden which is enjoyed in fine weather along with an accessible Poly Crub which is used to grow fruit and vegetables.

Isleshavn offers a safe and homely environment where resident’s needs are met by a team of highly trained staff.  Residents are encouraged to be as independent as possible and a person centred care approach is paramount.  Staff follow strict code of practices and national care standards. Your care will be tailored to your support needs.

We encourage friends and family to come as often as they like, and they will receive a warm welcome in the Centre at any time.
